The In Loving Light

Project

for the love that remains

What is The In Loving Light Project?

A PROJECT THAT HONORS LOVE, LOSS AND REMEMBRANCE.

Sometimes we don’t get the chance to say goodbye. But when we do have that time, I believe it’s incredibly meaningful to honor and preserve it. A photograph holds more than an image — it holds a piece of someone you love that you can return to again and again.

That’s why I’m offering complimentary photo sessions for families facing the loss of a beloved pet or family member.

The goal is simple: to provide beautiful, timeless memories during an incredibly difficult season.

These images will be yours to keep, and they will never be shared or posted by Daydream Photography.

My commitment is to support you with compassion, dignity, and care.

Sessions are based off availability & restrictions may apply.

The Why:

Honoring love, connection, and the moments

Part of my passion for capturing photographs comes from loss.

In 2017, I lost my dad suddenly. We didn’t have many photos together, but a few days after his passing, I was sent a photograph I never got the chance to see. It was taken on a day he came to visit my daughter—his granddaughter, Delilah. I had completely forgotten about that moment, and seeing that photo brought it all rushing back. I was overwhelmed with sadness, but also with gratitude. That single image became something I could hold onto—a reminder of love, presence, and a moment in time that would have otherwise been lost.

In 2025, I was asked to photograph a family shortly before their loved one entered hospice care. That session stayed with me. Knowing they were preparing to say goodbye, and that they trusted me to help preserve their final moments together, was deeply moving. It was then that the idea for this project first took shape—but I sat with it, unsure of when or how to move forward.

On January 6, 2026, I experienced another devastating loss when I unexpectedly lost my dog, Dexter—my best friend of 13 years. It was a sudden and heartbreaking decision, and one of the hardest goodbyes I’ve ever had to make. That loss made something painfully clear: I could no longer wait. Once again, there was no time to prepare, no chance to capture final memories.

Both of these losses came without warning, without the opportunity to say goodbye.

This project exists for those who do have that chance.

The In Loving Light Project was created to honor love while it is still here—to give families a quiet, private space to preserve meaningful moments with a beloved pet or loved one. These photographs are not about poses or perfection; they are about connection, presence, and holding onto the love that remains long after goodbye.
